Systems Thinking Practitioner Apprenticeship

SCiO fully supports the Systems Thinking Practitioner Apprenticeship (England):

Members of SCiO were heavily involved in the development of the apprenticeship (England) from the initial Trailblazer Committee meetings through to the completion of the End Point Assessment Plan, and the apprenticeship knowledge skills and behaviours are in large part based on the SCiO competency framework.

The apprenticeship represents the views and efforts of systems practitioners from all sectors and a wide range of professional practices. It is now ‘live’, so employers are able to use the apprenticeship route to develop effective systems practitioners to a level equivalent to SCiO Advanced Practitioner.

SCiO’s stated aims, as the professional body for systems practice and practitioners, include supporting professional development and furthering effective systems practice.

SCiO will collaborate with registered apprenticeship providers to advise on or support apprenticeship delivery.

STiP Apprenticeship Providers

More than ten UK-based apprenticeship providers offer Systems Thinking Practitioner education, and some information can be found in the registered apprenticeship providers list on the DofE website (click left).

You can also directly review the active providers from the list below (click on the images for the providers' websites):

SCiO has agreements in place with apprenticeship provider Cherith Simmons to supply suitably qualified resources for their delivery of this apprenticeship, and to support design and development of their programme.

End Point Assessment Organisations

SCiO will also collaborate with registered end point assessment organisations (EPAOs), to advise on or support assessment, and to that end has established an EPAO as a SCIO subsidiary, Systems Practitioner Assessment, to support apprentices from gateway to completion of assessment. Assessment services for this apprenticeship are also available from Advance HE.
