Call for Contributions

Contribute to our upcoming conference for systems thinking practitioners: SysPrac25

We are now inviting proposals for talks, workshops, jam sessions, and short case studies (told as stories with ‘lightbulb moments’) for our upcoming conference to be held at the Open University in Milton Keynes on 3rd and 4th September 2025.

Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner, an emerging voice in the field, or someone with a fresh perspective, we welcome your ideas. We believe significant contributions can come from anyone—regardless of experience, background, or presentation confidence. If you have something valuable to share but feel you may need some support in shaping or delivering your session, we’re here to help. Just get in touch at @email.

We’re especially interested in:
  • Practical applications of systems thinking approaches
  • Strategies for making systems thinking more accessible
  • Innovations and evolutions in systems thinking methods
  • Intersections of systems thinking and AI
  • Systems thinking approaches applied to complex projects and missions
  • Navigating and managing big systems
These can be delivered as:
  • Talks (40 minutes)
Share insights, stories, case studies, or provocations on any area of systems thinking practice.
  • Workshops (1–2 hours)
Facilitate hands-on sessions that offer participants practical tools, frameworks, or experiences to deepen their systems thinking practice.
  • Jam sessions (1–2 hours)
Collaborate in dynamic, real-time problem-solving sessions where experienced practitioners support ‘problem owners’ in applying systems thinking to live issues.
  • Short case studies, stories and ‘lightbulb moments’ (< 10 mins)
Contribute to a growing library of systems thinking practice case stories. You’ll also have opportunities to record short video reflections on your successes (and failures!).

Please submit your proposal by Friday 6th June 2025 via email to @email and follow us at www.sysprac25.org (#sysprac25) for more information and real-time updates.

We look forward to hearing from you and helping your ideas to take the stage.
