SCiO UK Virtual Development Event - October 2026

SCiO’s Development Event is an opportunity to draw upon the expertise of SCiO members in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. It’s for members starting out on the journey to explore Systems Thinking practice, as well as those with years of exploration and experience. So how does a 2-hr Development Event work? 

• Everyone gets to introduce themself, so attendees know what knowledge and experience they might be able to draw upon. 
• Each member attending can choose to raise an issue of interest; something they are working on, or a problem they’re stuck with, or a question about practice in a situation. 
• The attendees agree which issues to focus on for that event, timing is agreed, normally 30-40 mins per issue, and those raising the issue provide a few minutes of context and introduction. 
• The remainder of the time is spent in dialogue; exploring ideas, and how practitioners might address the issue they’re bringing to the event.

Development Events are not recorded - so the detail of any issue raised, or what ideas are shared as a result, remains confidential to the event attendees.
