Humanising Systems

September 2026

This interactive workshop explores the connection between System Design and Sense-Making, drawing from "Humanizing the Corporation. A Regenerative Leadership Playbook." Participants will investigate how systems shape our understanding and how our perspectives influence system design.

Moving beyond conventional efficiency-focused models, we will examine the dynamic balances of Stability & Diversity in systems and Autonomy & Cohesion in sense-making, as applied to the seven principles of regenerative leadership. Through practical exercises and reflection, participants will learn to:

  • Analyze systems: Identify stability, diversity, autonomy, and cohesion within their contexts.
  • Recognize interplay: Understand how these balances affect system health.
  • Apply a regenerative lens: Explore aligning system design and sense-making for interconnectedness and resilience.
  • Foster development: Learn to leverage disequilibrium for positive system evolution.
  • Ask key questions: Equip themselves with inquiries to uncover dynamics and design human-centered, regenerative systems.

By the end of the workshop, participants will gain a new perspective on "humanizing" systems, which will foster connection, creativity, purpose, and regeneration.
